AZCHESS Zoom Integration - User Documentation

Overview

AZCHESS allows users to connect their own Zoom account, create classroom meetings, and join meetings inside the AZCHESS interface.

Zoom remains the communication provider. AZCHESS provides classroom workflow and UI.

1) Adding the App (Required)

Prerequisites

• AZCHESS account with active login session
• Zoom account that can authorize OAuth and create meetings
• Desktop browser recommended for reviewer/tester flows

Step-by-step: Connect Zoom in AZCHESS

1. Open https://www.azchess.az and sign in.
2. Go to the Zoom landing/integration entry: https://www.azchess.az/az/zoom.
3. Open classroom live page: /az/labs/study/classroom/coach/live.
4. In the Zoom section, click Connect Zoom.
5. Authorize the app in Zoom OAuth consent screen.
6. Return to AZCHESS and verify status shows Zoom account linked.

3) Removing the App (Required)

A) Remove connection from AZCHESS

1. Sign in to AZCHESS.
2. Open classroom live page and locate Zoom card.
3. Click Unlink Zoom.

B) Revoke authorization from Zoom account

1. Sign in to Zoom with the authorized account.
2. Open Zoom App Marketplace installed apps management.
3. Locate AZCHESS app and remove/revoke access.

Implications of De-authorization

• AZCHESS can no longer create new Zoom meetings using that account.
• AZCHESS can no longer refresh Zoom access tokens for that account.
• In-app Zoom actions require reconnecting Zoom authorization.

How AZCHESS removes user data

• On unlink/de-authorization, AZCHESS removes stored Zoom OAuth link data for that AZCHESS user (access/refresh token and linked profile metadata).
• Existing classroom meeting links previously saved by user are not automatically deleted from classroom records unless user clears/removes them in UI.

4) Troubleshooting Guide

• OAuth popup blocked: allow popups for www.azchess.az and retry.
• Token expired / reconnect required: click Reconnect Zoom in Zoom card.
• Embed join issues: try Open Zoom in new tab fallback.
• Missing required scope behavior: use test plan matrix at https://www.azchess.az/zoom-marketplace-test-plan.html .
